Wind Mitigation Inspection:

 

        Have all of your most recent roofing documents together for your wind mitigation inspector to take a look at. (Example. Permits, contracts, peel n stick documentation, etc.)

        Have all your shutter documents together for your wind mitigation inspector.(Example. Permits, Florida Product Approvals, Miami Dade Notice of Acceptance, Installation Engineering Drawings, etc.)

        Provide clear access to your attic.

        Unlock all gates so your wind mitigation inspector can easily access the exterior of your house during your home inspection.

        Ensure your wind mitigation inspection will have reasonable attic access to your exterior walls from your attic.

        Your local building department is usually able to provide you with your roof permit date and permit number if you do not have this information in your records.

4 Point Inspection:

 

        Have all of your most recent roofing, electrical, plumbing and air conditioning documents together for your 4 point inspector to take a look at. (Example: permits, contracts, etc.)

        Ensure that water and electricity are on at the time of your 4 point inspection.

        Unlock all gates so your 4 point inspector can easily access the exterior of your house during your 4 point inspection.

        Provide unobstructed access to your electrical panel, water heater, under-sink plumbing and air conditioning units.

        Install GFCI outlets on all outlets within 6 feet of a water source.

        Replace any polybutylene plumbing.

        Fix all electrical shock hazards prior to your 4 point inspector's arrival.

Whole Home Inspection:

 

        Ensure that water and electricity are on at the time of your whole home inspection.

        Arrange reasonable access to the home. Make arrangements with tenants, current owners and/or real estate agents as needed.

        Inform your inspector of any specific concerns you have prior to your whole home inspection.

        Provide unobstructed access to your attic, electrical panel, water heater, under-sink plumbing and air conditioning units. If we can't see it, we can't inspect it.

        Unlock all gates so your wind mitigation inspector can easily access the exterior of your house during your home inspection.
