Preparing for your Wind mitigation Inspection

·        Arrange reasonable access to the home.  Make arrangements with tenants, current owners and/or real estate agents as needed.

·        Inform your inspector of any roofing documents, or shutter paperwork(including impact skylights, windows or doors) and have it ready so he or she can review them at the time of inspection. Pay close attention if your inspector informs you of incomplete documentation, so you can provide it to our office. (Note: All windows, doors, garage doors, glass block and skylights must be covered with an impact rated shutter or be impact rated themselves and have the documents to prove it to recieve the best shutter credit.)

·        Provide unobstructed access to your attic.  If we can't see it, we can't inspect it.

·         Unlock all gates and doors so your home inspector can easily access the exterior of your house during your wind mitigation inspection.
